A KIDDERMINSTER man who was still being quizzed by officers following a stabbing incident outside the town’s train station has been released on bail.

Three men, aged in their 20s, were hospitalised following the incident on Station Drive, in Kidderminster, at around 10pm on Saturday (September 1) night.

Police arrested three men on suspicion of violent disorder and officers were still quizzing a 28-year-old from Kidderminster yesterday (Tuesday, September 4) but a spokesman today confirmed he has been released on bail until the end of the month.

The two other men – a 27-year-old from Kidderminster and a Birmingham man aged 22 – had been released on bail on Monday.

Investigating officers are still appealing for help to trace a ‘black male’ who was believed to be in the area at the time and may be able to assist with enquiries.

None of the victims’ injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Following the incident, Detective Sergeant Ed Slough, based at Kidderminster Police Station, said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed an incident outside the train station last night to please make contact with us.

"We are currently conducting a thorough investigation into what happened and the public may see additional officers in and around the area whilst enquiries are ongoing.

"If anyone has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please come forward."

Anyone who was in the area at the time or who can help with enquiries is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident 833s of 1 September 2018.

Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
