A COFFEE shop in Bromsgrove say they have been inundated with letters of support for their mobility scooter policy.
Coffee2 on the High Street featured in the Advertiser this month after a woman who entered the cafe on a scooter hired from the council's Shop Mobility was asked not to bring it in due to health and safety and insurance risks.
Owner Jamie Leavesley has said they have since received "dozens and dozens" of letters in support from customers, some of which are disabled and use mobility scooters.
He said: "We would like to thank everybody for the massive support.
"There is no discrimination whatsoever at Coffee2.
"It is just common sense for health and safety."
Coffee2 owners said the cafe is one of the only independent coffee shops on the High Street which has a disabled toilet facility.
It won a Bromsgrove No Barriers Disabled Access Award in 2012-13 for providing a good service to disabled people.
