A LARGE amount of rubbish including doors and cupboards was dumped over the weekend in road near Bredicot.

The pile is mainly of wood and were dumped in the lane off Pershore Lane sometime before Sunday afternoon.

Wychavon District Council's street cleaning team were set to clear the dumped items before the end of today (Tuesday).

Sharon Casswell, client services manager at Wychavon, said “We are aware of this flytip and we will clear it as quickly as possible.

"Flytipping is a blight on our countryside and we again urge people to check for a waste carrier licence before having any waste removed from their property.

"Everyone is responsible for the disposal of their own waste and action can and will be taken against those that do not do this properly.

"Flytipping can be reported on our website or by calling 01386 565018.”
