AN OLD Hill church is holding a series of special heritage events this weekend.

Holy Trinity Church, in Halesowen Road, kicks off its programme on Friday evening (March 23), with a ‘school day’ quiz and buffet.

Based around a traditional school day, participants are invited to dress in togs from any decade from 1870s to the present day, with tickets costing £4.

Saturday (March 24), is a day of historic displays, refreshments, conversations and talks on Old Hill history at the church.

Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 10am and 5pm and if anyone has any memorabilia to share, the church would like to hear from you.

The weekend’s events end on Sunday (March 25) with a service entitled ‘Firm Foundations’ starting at 10.45am.

The events all form part of the church’s tower restoration project.
