Due to being a pensioner, like many others, I look around charity shops twice a week, but I wonder if the people of Worcester have noticed the extreme prices of used clothes, shoes and bags.
Wednesday March 7 I went into SCOPE in St Swithin’s Street, a pair of badly used loafers, that were in need of repair, £8, a light blue medium shirt, needing an iron over it £5.50.
St Richards Hospice, a single breasted coat by Burton tailors £26.50, then took a walk round Marks & Spencer, a two piece suit, brand new £35, shoes also new £8.
Whoever prices up these items in charity shops, must either be very short sighted, based on guess work, or pricing up with a couldn’t care less attitude, and any old price will do. I’ve had some good quality clothes from charity shops and don’t mind paying good prices, but a lot of items should be binned or not displayed.
This is disgusting, public beware.
