POLICE have released a picture of a 'high risk' missing man who was last seen leaving a hotel in Callow End, as concern rises about his welfare.

Matthew Bone, aged 26, of Portsmouth, has been reported missing by his family.

DI Dave Knight of West Mercia Police said Mr Bone's family were 'deeply concerned for his welfare'.

He added that Mr Bone is believed to have been sleeping rough in Callow End on Thursday, March 8, and booked into Stanbrook Abbey on the morning of Friday, March 9, although he has not been seen since.

DI Knight said: "Matthew hasn’t been seen since leaving a hotel room in the Callow End area of Worcester this weekend.

"He is likely to be in urgent need of medical attention. Worcestershire residents are asked to check their outbuildings for signs of anyone living in them.

"Matthew is a good walker and it may be that he is using the county's bridleways and footpaths to avoid contact with others."

The Detective Inspector previously said Mr Bone is likely to be on his own walking through the Worcestershire countryside and is considered as a high risk missing person.

He added that his family and the police have a concern for his current state of mind.

Officer are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 410s of Sunday, March 11.
