SNOW could fall in Worcestershire this evening after a warning from the Met Office.

Forecasters have raised the likelihood of the county seeing the white stuff, saying showers could fall as snow in the next hour 8pm and continue until after midnight, potentially leaving a light dusting of snow in places which could then turn to ice.

Temperatures have been falling this afternoon, and are set to drop to just 1C.

The Met Office warning says: "Showers are falling as sleet, snow and hail already in the north of the warning area, and this threat spreads to parts of Wales, the Midlands and southern England on Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday.

"Delays to travel are possible, with a lower likelihood of cancellations of public transport. Some roads and pavements will turn icy, with an increased likelihood of some accidents and injuries."

The Met Office has also issued a warning for strong winds saying it will affect the region tomorrow night until Thursday morning.
