KIND people from across Wyre Forest have been donning their fundraising hats and raising money to help Pudsey the Bear.

A host of events have been taking place throughout the day (Friday, November 17) in support of the annual BBC Children in Need appeal.

Pupils from Winterfold School in Chaddesley Corbett braved the cold and got musical to raise more than £300 so far.

They braved the cold outside to play music and sing songs including “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun, carols performed by a Brass Ensemble and violin solos as staff and pupils arrived at school.

Got 2 Sing Choir from Bewdley have been in fine voice and managed to raise an impressive £665 through a series of performances throughout the week.

Little Trinity Nursery, in Kidderminster, also got into the spirit by dressing up and creating tasty spotty biscuits and cakes during the day.

The fun will continue during the weekend again when Zennor’s Dance and Musical Academy – which hosts classes in Stourport and Far Forest – attempts to help create a new tap-dancing world record.

They will join dance schools across the country to raise funds through performing the same routine on the same day at the same time. The current record stands at 7,500.
