THESE dramatic photographs show the aftermath of a crash which left an elderly driver trapped inside his car.

Eyewitnesses said he hit another car before ploughing through a brick wall and into a parked motorbike, in Henwick Road, Worcester, on Sunday.

They added that firefighters had to cut the driver out of the car because his door was pinned up against the railings behind the Co-op store in St John's.

Paramedics assessed an 85-year-old man at the scene but found he was not injured.

Paul Baker, of St John’s, who was involved in the crash, said: “He hit my car, took out a wall and then a parked motorbike before hitting a fence.

“I was shaken, but okay. I feel most sorry for the owner of the bike, but I’m glad no-one was seriously hurt."

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews, from Worcester and Malvern, to the incident.

West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched a rapid response vehicle to the scene after receiving a call at 1.06pm.

West Mercia Police also responded but officers have not made any arrests.

The crash involved a grey Ford Mondeo, a white Smart car and a Honda motorbike.
