AN investigation has being launched by police following a robbery at the Subway shop in Kidderminster.

It happened between 6.15pm and 6.20pm on the evening of Saturday, August 19, when a man entered the shop and verbally threatened a member of staff before demanding money from the till of the shop in Stourport Road.

The member of staff, a man in his 20s, handed over a large amount of money. The offender has then fled the scene and is believed to have headed in the direction of Brintons Park.

The suspect is described as white man, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft in height, and had brown hair. He was wearing a black and white check style cap, baggy black hooded top with white writing saying Nike, baggy black jogging bottoms and black shoes with white stripes.

PC Lindsey Atwell of West Mercia Police, said: "This was an understandably traumatic experience for the members of staff, who thankfully were not injured during the incident.

"Officers arrived quickly at the scene and a thorough investigation has been launched to identify the suspect, who stole a substantial amount of money before leaving."
