POLICE have named the man whose body was found in the River Severn at Upton.

He has been identified as Sean Begley, aged 48, who had been at the Upton Blues Festival on Friday, July 21.

He was last seen at about 2am the following day, on the bridge near to the steps entering the camp site.

His next of kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

His body was found at 1.45pm on Tuesday.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen or been in contact with Mr Begley between Friday July 21 and Tuesday.
