A MAN suffered a serious injury in a fight.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to the incident at Clarkson Gardens in Warndon, Worcester at 11.40pm on Thursday night and took the man in a 'serious condition' by land ambulance to hospital.

Police say that he is not in a 'life-threatening' condition and that one other casualty was treated for minor injuries.

The two men, a 36-year-old from Malvern and a 28-year-old from Worcester, have both been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

'Three or four' police cars were on the scene according to an eyewitness who described seeing 'a lot of commotion' and one of the police cars parked outside a house overnight.

One ambulance was called with a merit trauma doctor also in attendance.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Shortly after 11pm on Thursday July 27, West Mercia Police was called to reports of an incident in Clarkson Gardens, Worcester.

"Two men have received injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

"Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call them on 101 quoting incident 825S of 27 July."
