A EIGHT-year-old girl from Kidderminster chopped a lengthy 14 inches from her long locks to raise money for the Little Princess Trust.

Kind-hearted Madeline Barker, who attends Offmore Primary School, has raised £200 for the Little Princess Trust after braving the drastic cut on Monday, July 24.

Madeline's hair was cut by Lewis Grant at LA Styles, in Tennyson Way.

Madeline's mother, Sarah Barker, said: "Madeline said she wanted to do this because she thought it would be kind and generous to do something for children that were sad because they were poorly.

"Both my husband and I are bursting with pride - she is amazing and beautiful inside and out.

"The generosity of everyone that has donated is overwhelming."

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs for children across the UK who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
