A FAMILY are continuing to support charities after a 19-year-old was tragically killed in a car crash.

Nat Bailey, from Evesham, sadly lost his life in December on the A46 Evesham Bypass with the family undertaking challenges for chosen charities in his memory.

Their latest endeavour sees 20 members of the family taking on 'The Three Peaks' on the first weekend in August to support St Richard's Hospice.

Tessa Bailey, Nat's mother said: "A leg of our 'centipede' has gone and since then, we as a family, have been determined to celebrate and remember Nat's life by living ours to the fullest and putting our energy into good causes in his memory.

"As a result, the Bailey Family are taking part in different challenges to raise money for a variety of causes personal to each family member.

"No charge is made for any of the services it is made possible by the generosity of supporters and community, contributing to three quarters of their income, only 25 percent is NHS funded.

"Bereavement Counselling was not available on the NHS, but it is offered by St Richard's and is essential to help rebuild our changed lives, Tessa, Bob and Zach and Hebe are walking for this reason.

"Any contribution is welcome, and you will make a difference, if you are able please take a look at our Just Giving page."

Mr Bailey was a keen rugby player, having played for the Royal Grammar School and Evesham Colts and Seniors as a prop.

He was also a member of the Second Evesham Bengeworth Scout Group, and in his spare time he enjoyed skiing, shooting and listening to 60's music.

Mr Bailey had previously attended Fladbury First School and the Royal Grammar School in Worcester, and was working at the Crown and Trumpet in Broadway.

The family are aiming to raise £10,000 overall, with over £3,000 raised in their last fundraising effort for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

St Richard’s Hospice cares for patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with life-limiting illnesses. Each year they support around 2,500 patients and family members – helping them towards the best quality of life possible.
