FORMER pupils of Homer Hill Secondary Modern are inviting Cradley community groups to join them at their upcoming reunion.

The evening follows on from last year’s event, which reunited more than 70 former classmates of the school – which went on to become Cradley High School.

Organiser John Garratt said brining different community groups along with the school’s reunion would “help further knit the community together”.

He said: “It is important that we keep our identity that is Cradley.

“Former pupils from years 1939 to 1960 will be sharing memories and renewing old friendships and maybe starting new ones.

“Music from the 50s and 60s will be playing in the background to help the night along. So come along for a lovely night of nostalgia.”

Former pupils and community groups can join in with the reunion from 7.30pm on Thursday, September 14, at Wilson Hall, in Colley Gate.

Mr Garratt added: “Last year guests were asked to bring along a small plate of sandwiches, crisps or nibbles, and again this would be greatly appreciated.”
