THE hot weather kept Wyre Forest crews busy when they were called out to several grass and embankment fires.
Kidderminster and Bewdley firefighters tackled three such incidents yesterday (Friday, May 26) within four hours.
Last night, at around 8.50pm, Kidderminster were called to Burlish Top Nature Reserve in Stourport where around 10sqm grass and undergrowth was on fire.
Earlier in the afternoon, they were called to Severn Valley embankments on Gould Avenue East in Kidderminster at 4.40pm.
And shortly before that, at 4.05pm, a crew from Bewdley also tackled a Severn Valley embankment fire at Sandbourne Lane in the town.
