A SECURITY guard was hit on the head by a robber wearing a deerstalker hat during a robbery of a cash delivery van outside a bank.
The security guard suffered minor injuries after the man approached him outside the van and hit him before leaving with an unspecified amount of cash.
The robber was described as black, around six foot tall and of average build.
He was wearing a black coat with a fur collar as well as the distinctive hat.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the robbery at 11.30am today outside NatWest on High Street, Kidderminster.
The man fled the scene in the direction of Coventry Street and Blackwell Street.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that could help police with their enquiries is urged to call 101 and quote incident 194s of 24 January 2017.
