A COMMUNITY hub in Worcester is setting up a new scheme for people to swap their 'pre-loved' children's clothes and shoes.

Staff at Lyppard Hub, in Warndon Villages, are launching their new Children’s Clothing Exchange to encourage parents to "swap not shop".

The project, which has been set up in partnership with Worcester Foodbank, sees credits given for each item of clothing donated, which can then be used in exchange for other items.

Project co-ordinator, Sue Tunley, said: “Children's clothes can be so expensive, especially baby clothes.

"Our children’s clothing exchange initiative is about supporting families in our community and beyond by helping them save money as well as recycling clothing”

The exchange will start on Tuesday, January 10 from 10am until noon and will then run on the first Tuesday of each month.
