POLICE have released CCTV images of four women they are looking to speak to, after a woman was attacked near a nightclub in Kidderminster.

Between 4am and 4.25am on Sunday, November 8, an altercation broke out between two groups of people on Green Street, after they had left a nearby nightclub.

A woman in her 30s was attacked and, as a result, was rushed to Worcester Royal Hospital with a broken jaw, bruising, swelling and cuts to her face.

It is unknown whether the injuries were caused by a group or an individual.

Officers investigating the case have identified several witnesses and would urgently like to speak to the women in the CCTV footage.

Detective Constable Melissa Jones of West Mercia Police said: "We are really keen to speak with the women pictured as we believe they may have important information about the assault that took place.

"This was a particularly nasty attack that resulted in the victim suffering serious facial injuries that required surgery.

"I would like to reassure the local community that serious assaults of this type are rare and that they will always be investigated thoroughly by police."

Police are urging anyone who has information about the assault, or recognises themself in the pictures, to contact them on 101, quoting crime number 134s of November 8.
