DELIGHTED children at a Kidderminster nursery celebrated their first swimming gala with a win.

Youngsters from Little Trinity Nursery, on Birmingham Road, picked up their medals and swimming certificates after taking part in their first Nursery House Swimming Gala.

William Manning, Keiran Macnamara-Sharma, Esther Hunt and Zac Chance – who competed as Dolphin House – finished ahead of three other teams in a number of fun-packed races.

Nursery Manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: "Swimming for the children is a regular part of our nursery week, so it is extremely rewarding to see how confident they have all become in the water.

"Parents are delighted when they see their children excited and overjoyed at taking part in their first ever swimming gala, there are lots of cheers, smiles and happy tears.

"Swimming galas are a lot of fun for the children, their families and for our staff who have supported each child as they’ve learnt how to swim."

Little Trinity Nursery, which is based within the grounds of Holy Trinity School, offer weekly swimming lessons for children from the age of three.
