ADULT learners in Droitwich now have the chance to browse through a number of leisure courses, which are taking place at Droitwich Library.

The courses cover all kinds of subjects from Computing for Beginners, building webpages, and Skype for beginners, to portrait painting, palmistry for beginners, an introduction to digital photography, and French and German classes.

The entire programme of more than 150 courses in venues across Worcestershire is available to browse online on the Worcestershire County Council website at worcestershire.gov.uk/courses, where people will be able to search for the course of their choice, or search by venue, and even be able to check availability, book, and pay online.

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member for communities and localism, said: "I am thrilled to be able to say that our courses can now all be booked online. The new system will certainly make it a lot easier for our customers who can now browse and book at times to suit them, as well helping to communicate the diverse range of courses we have on offer."

Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for transformation and commissioning, added: "Only last month we were announcing new systems for school transport so it is great to be able to tell our customers that we have already made another service available online. We are moving closer towards our target of making all our services available online for people to access at any time of day or night."

21 adult learning and leisure courses are available at Droitwich Library, and the new online course booking system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
