DUDLEY residents considering offering a home to children in need are invited to attend drop in sessions to find out more about fostering.

Sessions take place every Friday from 1pm to 4pm at Flipside House in Stourbridge Road, Dudley, where people can have informal chats with the fostering team and find out if the role is right for them.

Councillor Ian Cooper, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “Lots of people think about fostering but maybe aren’t sure if their circumstances fit what we’re looking for.

"That’s why these sessions are so important."

He continued: “Carers in Dudley think fostering really is the best job in the world and love their communities enough to look after children in the borough who need a home.

“No one has to make a commitment when they attend, we’d just really like to hear from people who are interested.”
