A MAN was knocked out in an assault at a nightclub in Malvern.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information about the incident, on Sunday, February 22 at Priors Croft on Grange Road.

A verbal altercation occurred between two men in the smoking area of the club between 1am and 1.40am.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, was punched once to the face, causing him to lose consciousness and sustain minor facial injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 76S of February 22.
