A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed on his doorstep in Dudley.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Netherton in connection with an attack on a 65-year-old man just before 6.15pm in Owen Street, Kates Hill February 24.

The victim suffered serious stab wounds to his head, shoulder, chest and back.

Detective Inspector Greg Evans, from West Midlands Police, said: "Thankfully, the man is now in a stable condition and is recovering well in hospital.

"We are still working to establish a motive for the attack and we are currently questioning a teenage boy, who was arrested yesterday afternoon.

"I would urge anyone who has any information about the attack − and who we have not yet spoken to − to call us on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
