POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run which left a teenage girl injured, in Wolverley.

The girl, aged 13, was walking along the footpath adjacent to the B4190 between Kidderminster and Wolverley, where Wolverley Road becomes Franche Road, when a car collided with her.

The incident happened between 7.30am and 8am on Tuesday, February 24. The pedestrian was taken to Kidderminster Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Officers investigating the incident are anxious to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the circumstances leading up to it.

PC Gordon O’Haodha, investigating officer, said: “The vehicle involved is described as a white hatchback. The driver did not stop and was last seen driving towards the Three Crowns and Sugarloaf pub.

“We are appealing for the driver to come forward and for any witnesses to contact us immediately.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0386 of February 24.
