MIDFIELDER Jamie Cuss was the hero for Westfields as he dramatically saved a penalty to earn his side a point against Quorn in Midland Football League Premier Division.

Cuss had to step in goal after Harvey Rivers was sent off for upending a Quorn player in the second half.

But he proved he was up for the task by making a tremendous save.

Quorn were also later reduced to 10 men after Sam Hollis' high foot on Adam Powell was deemed dangerous.

The match finished 0-0 at allpay.park with the attendance being 142.

Elsewhere, there was disappointment for Pegasus Juniors who went down 3-0 to Wolverhampton Casuals in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Dan Westwood, Jordan Uppal and Lewis Cooper scored Casuals' goals.

Pegasus' goalkeeper Nathan Phillips also saved a penalty.

Wellington's match at Smethwick Rangers was postponed.

Bartestree were the only side in action in Division 1 after Bromyard Town's home game against St Martins and Lads' Club's away trip to Wyrley were called off.

Bartestree beat Wrens Nest 4-2, making it nine goals they have scored in their last two games.

Kington Town were also celebrating after they beat Wyrley Reserves 4-0 in Division 2 to leap up to third.

Nick Layton, Ricky Dyer, Dale Hodge and Aaron Hodge grabbed the goals in the Hereford Times' scheduled Big Match.

In the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Premier Division, goals from Nick Britton and Nick Panniers saw Wellington Reserves beat Tenbury United 2-1 to go to the top of the table.

Elsewhere, Ru Wood, Lewis Moseley and Mark Rusling scored for Pegasus Reserves in their 3-0 win at Orleton Colts.

All other scheduled games were called off.

In Division 1, Bromyard are 11 points clear at the top after they thumped Bartestree Reserves 10-1, while Sinkums beat Kingstone Rovers 1-0 in Division 2 and Tenbury Town came top against Kingstone Harriers, winning 4-2.

In Division 3, Ledbury Colts beat Tupsley 4-1 and Northwood Rangers overcame Orleton Colts Reserves in a 6-4 thriller.
