TWO pupils from Sytchampton First School have taken top places in a district wide competition to design the official Christmas card for Wychavon District Council.

The competition was open to children aged from four to 10 years old and more than 70 first school pupils entered, creating their own card designs.

While the first place in the competition went to a pupil from a school in Broadway, Charlotte Spyer and Rhianna Dunn, both from Sytchampton First School took second and third place respectively.

Councillor Lynne Duffy, chairman of Wychavon District Council, said: “I would like to thank all of the children who entered the competition. I had a great afternoon looking at all of the cards and it was extremely difficult to pick the winners. Congratulations to Poppy, Charlotte and Rhianna for their winning designs and well done to all who entered.”

All the winners were presented with a WH Smith Gift Voucher at their school.
