GLASSES were raised - along with voices - at two Claines pubs for an evening of carols and beers.
Drinkers joined in with the small choir from Claines Church to sing popular Christmas hymns and songs at The New Inn, Ombersley Road, and the Mug House, Claines Lane.
The Twelve Days of Christmas was a particular favourite with the crowds who took on solo parts for the verses while Geoff Sansome accompanied the singing on his trumpet.
Rev Jo Musson, fro Claines Church, said: "We were delighted to visit both locals for beer and carols.
"The landlords of The New Inn and the Mug House were really happy for us to go along.
"We sang for almost two hours so lots of beer was required to prevent any sore throats.
"The Black Pear Joggers certainly entered into the singing wholeheartedly.
"It was brilliant fun and so good to see people enjoying themselves and singing so heartily - I tried to sign them up for the church choir"
"Hopefully they will all come along to Midnight Mass at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve - I can't promise beer but there will be plenty of carols."
