A FESTIVE walk took an unlikely turn as pupils from Shobdon Primary School were treated to a Santa fly-in at Shobdon Airfield.
Having written their Christmas letters, the children were thrilled when Santa flew through the skies over the village, landed his festive red Gyrocopter and collected the letters in person!
Santa treated the children to a question and answer session assuring them that he was ‘resting’ his reindeer in readiness for the busy time ahead.
He also put one pupil’s mind at rest, as she was rather worried he wouldn’t know she was in New Zealand on Christmas Eve.
The children excitedly waved him off and were then treated to mince pies in the Aero Club.
