A STOURBRIDGE financial services company went a ‘fair way’ to help borough carers when it staged a successful sporting fundraiser.

Staff at Prosperity Wealth took time out from offering support with mortgages and pensions to stage a charity golf day at Bewdley Pines Golf Club, on October 1, which raised nearly £2,800 for WeLoveCarers.

The charity supports unpaid carers and their families by offering advice, advocacy and befriending services at its Insight House premises in Brierley Hill.

Matt Bell, director of Prosperity Wealth in St John's Road, said: "We’re really pleased to have raised so much money for such a fantastic local charity.

"It was a great day enjoyed by everyone and I would like to thank staff from Prosperity Wealth as well as many of our clients who all played their part in helping to make the day such a success.”

Loraine Stockton, project co-ordinator at WeLoveCarers, added: "We are extremely grateful to staff and clients at Prosperity Wealth for choosing to support us in this way.

"We are a small local charity with no funding whatsoever so we have to raise our own money to provide the services so this gesture is hugely appreciated."
