Grant to achieve better skills

9:54am Thursday 13th September 2001

COMPANIES, voluntary groups and young entrepreneurs in Bromley are to get low-cost help to improve their performance thanks to a £75,000 government boost.

The Government's Local Initiative Fund will provide management skills workshops for people who live or work in the Borough of Bromley.

The new Building Excellence Skills Today (BEST) training workshops aim to help managers in small businesses and voluntary groups to achieve excellence. Places are also available to firms set up by local school pupils under the Young Enterprise scheme.

The workshops, to be held over eight half-days, are due to start in late October at locations in Beckenham and Wimbledon. For further information or to book a place, call London Excellence on 020 7232 5380.
