Clun GARDEN SOCIETY – Newcastle Garden Society’s next meeting will be a talk by Bob Brown on the garden makeover on Thursday, July 9, Clun, at 7.30pm at the Memorial Hall, not Newcastle Community Centre as previously announced. The society’s day trip is to Snowshill on August 9. Snowshill, a National Trust house and garden near Broadway in Gloucestershire, is a traditional Cotswold Manor House dating from the 15th-century and restored in 1919 by architect and craftsman, Charles Paget Wade, to house his outstanding collection of crafts, furniture and artefacts. The garden is a mix of colourful flower borders, terraces and ponds with a woodland walk, specialist plant nursery and shop.
