Ludlow Vineyard and Distillery won tastiest juice competition at annual competition run by Heart of England Fine Foods (HEEF)

LUDLOW Vineyard and Distillery has the tastiest juice in the West Midlands after winning a regional award.

The company won the West Midlands Tastiest Juice Competition for the cox variety at a grand final at the AGA store at the Mailbox in Birmingham.

The annual competition is run by Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF), the regional food group for the West Midlands.

“We are delighted to have won.

We’re so pleased because there was some stiff competition from some bigger juice producers. It’s the first time we’ve won anything so it’s really great,” said Mike Hardingham of Ludlow Vineyard and Distillery.

There was also success for a local firm in the grand final of the tastiest breakfast juice section of the competition.

Teme Valley Fruit, of Sutton House Farm, Sutton, near Tenbury Wells, won the joint highly commended award for its Red Windsor juice. The section was won by Mannings of Bromyard, with its Jonagored juice.
