Fund-raisers keep life-savers in the air

LUDLOW Parish Wives have been busy raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

During the year, they have walked from Clee Hill to Ludlow and held a coffee morning. Carolyn and Kevin Wood opened their garden in Steventon, Ludlow, last month and members served strawberry teas. In two hours, £640 was raised.

At their annual meeting on July 6, Chris Hatt, representing Midlands Air Ambulance, was presented with a cheque for £1,600 from Chris Cole, treasurer of Ludlow Parish Wives.

Members meet fortnightly from September until June.

They have various speakers and outings during the year.
