LUDLOW and south Shropshire will remember this weekend with services and ceremonies of remembrance all over the area on Saturday and Sunday.

As well as in Ludlow and the other market towns there will be Remembrance events in small villages and hamlets.

Poppies will also be hung in Ludlow Town Centre throughout November.

There will be a service at the Peace Memorial in Ludlow Town Centre on Saturday at 10.50am.

Then on Sunday the Remembrance Service will take place at St Laurence’s Church.

There will be a parade of uniformed organisations from Ludlow Castle into St Laurence’s Church at 10:15am.

Ludlow Town Concert Band will play marching music to accompany the parade.

There will be two Remembrance Services in the town to commemorate with a silence at 11am, one in St Laurence’s Church and an outdoor service at the Peace Memorial by Ludlow Market.

Members of the public are invited to attend either service, but are asked to arrive at church by 10:20am.

Clee Hill & District Royal British Legion Remembrance is at St Peter’s Church, Clee Hill at 6:30pm on Sunday.
