POLICE want revellers in Ludlow and south Shropshire and Tenbury and the Teme Valley to have a fun Halloween but warn that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

The constabulary warn people who visit houses that they must respect it when people do not want to play the game of ‘trick or treat.’

West Mercia Police say that young people should never go into the house of a stranger and ‘trick or treaters’ must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The police say that officers will be on patrol and that allegations of intimidation, nuisance or other anti-social behaviour will be taken seriously. It can lead to arrest and prosecution potentially leading to a criminal record.

To report anti-social behaviour call the Police non-emergency number 101 or call 999 in and emergency.
