TIM Gill, Mayor of Ludlow will be holding his annual service in St Laurence Church on Sunday (June 25).

“Mayor's Sunday is a celebration of the town's civic heritage displayed in the robes, chains of office and civic mace bearers, and a public declaration of the town council's core role to serve the best interests of Ludlow,” said Tim Gill, who will be accompanied by his deputy Colin Sheward.

The service will be conducted by Rev Kelvin Price with Mayor's Chaplain Canon Jeffry Wilcox at 11:30am at the Parish Church of St Laurence.

A civic procession of mayors and town councillors and the parade of uniformed organisations before and after the church service will be accompanied by marching music from Ludlow Concert Band, directed by Colin Reeve.

After the service, Ludlow Town Council and visiting mayors will assemble at the Buttercross and the parade marshall will lead the parade through the town centre to the Buttercross to be greeted and thanked by Tim Gill.
