LUDLOW College has hosted an exhibition of volunteering and community opportunities.

The event was a first for the college with students, exhibitors and the Ludlow community.

More than 30 exhibitors took part, with representation from environmental, wildlife and sustainability groups, the town council, political reform groups, the Ludlow Fringe Festival, Riding for the Disabled, Fairtrade and many, many more.

Ludlow College students were involved, with English Literature students helping out on the Castle Bookshop stand and sports students giving their support on the disability sports coaching stand.

Student ambassadors also gave assistance throughout the event and ensured that all ran smoothly.

The event helped to encourage interaction between different age groups and an opportunity for community groups to network and build support.

Refreshments were provided throughout and visitors were also able to sample Vegan food on a stall which proved to be particularly popular.

“Everyone was very informative and as a catering student it was great to learn about different ingredients on the Vegan food stall,” said hospitality and catering student Sabrina Millman.

"I didn’t realise there was so much going on in Ludlow.”
