A LUDLOW nursing home has been celebrating a decade in business.

Philip Dunne MP visited Four Rivers Nursing Home to mark the anniversary.

To mark the occasion, Philip Dunne congratulated care assistant Michelle Bufton, the winner of the staff ‘bake off’ competition for the anniversary cake.

Four Rivers has 40 residents well looked after by its 71 hardworking staff and achieved a good rating for the quality of its care at its most recent inspection.

“I was delighted to congratulate manager Christine Thomas and staff at Four Rivers Nursing Home, on the 10th anniversary of its opening,” said Philip Dunne.

“In its 10 years, Four Rivers Nursing Home has become an important asset to Ludlow, giving quality care to its residents. I wish them continued success for the future.”

While there the MP met Florence Arrowsmith, one of the oldest and longest serving residents, who celebrates her 101st birthday next month.
