A GROUP that works to fill the gap in activities for young people in Ludlow and the surrounding area has been given a financial boost.
It is made up of 14 different organisations in and around the town and works to provide activities to fill some of the gaps created by cuts in spending on youth activities.
The Ludlow Youth Partnership provides craft-based events, runs and barbeques and also guidance on healthy eating. One of its major annual events will take place in a few weeks with the firework display on Gallows Bank.
Volunteers from the partnership also provide a session at which young people can discuss their GCSE results.
Members of the youth forum include schools and Ludlow College, West Mercia Police, Shropshire Housing Association, Ludlow Boxing and Football clubs, the Girl Guides, Ludlow Young Farmers and Churches Together.
The youth forum had asked Ludlow Town Council for a grant of £1,200 and was allocated £750.
