THE railway has long provided a vital link through Shropshire from north to south, passing through some fantastic scenery along the way which makes it an attractive proposition to leisure, as well as business, travellers.
Here our photographer Andy Compton captures a train as it speeds past Ludlow racecourse on the way north via Craven Arms and Church Stretton to Shrewsbury.
