THE Ludlow Fringe has had some great successes in the first week.

‘A Little Prince’ performed on Millennium Green went down well and there was a sell out and full house at ‘The Sitting Room’ with the Pentabus Young Writers and for ‘Hats off the Laurel and Hardy’ in Ludlow Methodist Church.

The second weekend of the festival kicks off with the Big Song and Dance all day in the Market Square. Children’s magician Seska with his new comedy magic show ‘Milkshake’ performs at the Assembly Rooms.

On Sunday there is a chance to see the Hereford Aerial Dance Company performing Bee or No Bee.

In the evening Tcha Limberger and the Kalotaszeg Trio deliver an evening of hypnotic, celebratory and virtuoso sounds at the Methodist Church, playing the music of the Transylvanian Gypsies as taught to him by the world famous violinist Neti Sandor.

Also Flabbergast Theatre bring their show, ‘Tatterdemalion’ to the Brewery.

Tickets have been fast disappearing for Remi Harris since the announcement that he is going to be performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival with Jamie Cullum in July.

Next week sees Comedy at Ludlow Brewery.

TV names such as Jo Enright, Ellie Taylor and Tom Binns perform alongside some of the best up- and-coming as well as established acts around on the comedy circuit at the moment.

All will be doing their Edinburgh Fringe preview shows so a chance to see the best of British Comedy here in Ludlow from the June 27 to June 30.

Ludlow Fringe is part of the ‘Three Weeks in Ludlow’ Arts Festival.
