OUR photographer Andy Compton was in Aston on Clun to capture this shot of the village's celebrated Arbor Tree.
Every year on the last Sunday in May, to mark Arbor Day, which commemorates the wedding of the village squire in 1786, the tree is decorated with flags which are left flying for the remainder of the year.
This tree is a descendant of the original Arbor Tree, taken from a cutting off the old tree which perished in a storm in 1975.
