IT may be a long way from the sea but Tenbury has an active Royal Naval Association.

Members of the Royal Naval Association were in front of ‘The Regal’ collecting funds for servicemen and women.

With over 20,000 members across 370 branches in the UK and overseas The Royal Naval Association is a family of current and former Naval Service personnel, relatives and supporters.

The only requirement of membership is a wish to support people serving in the Royal Navy past and present.

The group holds regular fund raising and social events. It offers support and advice on welfare and employment issues and well as help to maintain the camaraderie gained in the service.

There are four core values that guide the work of the Royal Naval Association at local, regional and national level. These are unity, loyalty, patriotism and comradeship.

Money raised in Tenbury will be used to aid the Association in its work.
