HERE'S another of Ludlow's iconic buildings, 13 Broad St, now home to The Woolshop, captured by our photographer Andy Compton.
No 13 was the childhood home of William Owen (1769-1825) RA, portrait painter to the Prince Regent who was baptised in Ludlow church on November 3, 1769.
Owen's father Jeremiah, although trained for the church, chose to follow in his father's profession and took over the family barber shop which he later expanded into a bookshop.
