POLIC have launched an appeal for information after a man died after his car left the road on the approach to Tenbury.

West Mercia Police is investigating an incident on the B4112 at Oldwood Common, Tenbury and officers are appealing for information from the public.

At about 4pm on Wednesday, January 20, a 64-year-old man was driving his silver Peugeot 806 car towards Tenbury when it crossed the opposite carriageway, left the road and came to rest on grassland.

It was discovered by passers-by who called emergency services but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigating officers believe that the man may have suffered a medical episode at the wheel but would like to hear from anyone who saw the car and the manner of driving, before it left the road.
