THE man allegedly described by David Bowie as his favourite artist will exhibit in Ludlow this summer.
Edwards Bell’s work will go on display at the Silk Top Hat Gallery in the summer.
He produced the covers for both Bowie’s 1980 ‘Scary Monsters’ album and also for ‘Tin Machine II.’
The Silk Top Hat Gallery first introduced Edward Bell’s work in 2014 and his second solo show featuring recent paintings is being planned for this June.
He studied art at Brighton College of Art, graphic design at Chelsea School of Art and photography at the Royal College of Art.
Edward Bell worked as a freelance photographer and illustrator for Vogue, Tatler and Elle magazines.
As well as his commissions for album covers for David Bowie he was also commissioned by Hazel O'Connor (Sons and Lovers).
He has exhibited widely on the London art scene and his work covers many genres from life paintings to bronzes, from pop art to landscapes.
