AN ESTATE agent from Ludlow is celebrating an exam success.

Gareth Parker, aged 24, who all work for Halls, has qualified as a chartered surveyor after passing the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ Assessment of Professional Competency examination.

He is based in the rural professional department at the company’s Shrewsbury headquarters, is a rural enterprise and land management graduate of Harper Adams University, Newport.

Gareth spent his placement year at an estate management company in Suffolk before joining up with Halls last year. His parents are tenant farmers on a 500-acre beef and arable enterprise at Stanton Lacy, near Ludlow.

“Achieving this internationally recognised qualification will hopefully help me to develop my career with the company,” he said.

In September, Gareth organised a ball at Ludlow Cricket Club which raised £8,500 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Renal Fund in memory of Ben Braggins of Brimfield, who died earlier this year aged 17. The money will be used to pay for holidays for patients from the hospital.
