A DROP off point has opened in Ludlow for Christmas gifts for refugee children and those in poorer countries.
Flexible workspace provider Regus in Ludlow has started collecting present-filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, the campaign that aims to put smiles on the faces of deprived children in developing and war torn countries at Christmas time.
The Regus centre in the town is a local drop off point for the 2015 appeal operated by international relief charity the Samaritan’s Purse.
Ludlow residents are encouraged to fill shoeboxes with toys, stationery, small clothing and hygiene items which will be sent to children living in refugee camps, orphanages and impoverished neighbourhoods.
“We’re delighted to support this very worthy cause which brightens up Christmas time for disadvantaged children, including those caught up in the Syrian crisis and those living in refugee camps,” said Richard Morris, UK chief executive at Regus
Boxes can be dropped off at the Regus centre at Ludlow Eco Park until Wednesday, November 18 on weekdays between 8.30am – 6.00pm.
