ONE of south Shropshire oldest residents has celebrated her 101st birthday.
Nora Brick, who is 101, lives at Brompton near Churchstoke on the Welsh Border.
Ludlow MP Philip Dunne called in to see her and wish one of his oldest constituents well.
“I was delighted to be able to congratulate Nora on achieving her 101st birthday earlier this year,” said Philip Dunne.
“It was a great experience to be able to meet her in person, not least because we have corresponded on various issues a number of times since my election as Member of Parliament.
“I was interested to hear a first-hand account of some local history, including anecdotes about my predecessors in the Ludlow Constituency.
“She kindly showed me her personal message from Her Majesty the Queen, to congratulate her on reaching such an amazing milestone.”
